I have a 2000 Windstar SEL with the 3.8L and AXOD trans. I am getting ready to replace my transaxle on the right side as there is a ton of slop in the inner joint. When I grab it, I can move it all directions. Side to side, up and down. I am wondering if its the axle or transmission that needs work. Any input is appreciated as I dont want to ruin a new axle or have to tear into it multiple times.
