Ford December/Q4/2024 Sales ResultsFord needs to step it up with the mustang. It's not a bad car, but a well optioned gt or a dark horse is 60, 70, 80 grand. I think people are looking at the s650, which isn't bad, but was kinda a meh update, and looking at other really impressive sports cars like the c8, cayman, some lotus products, and buying those instead.
At the level the mustang is now playing at, it needs to be more of a show stopper in terms of design, more thrilling in terms of driving dynamics. If Ford gives it a new platform, a far more striking exterior design, and keeps things like the V8 and the manual, without going too insane with the price, then the mustang should recover a bit.
