Europe's carmakers discount EVs, hike petrol car prices as new emissions rules loomThe 2025 target works out to around 150 grams per mile, which for a gas/petrol vehicle is about 59 MPG (US gallon) if I estimated correctly. It will require a lot of very efficient cars, or else a lot of pooling (buying credits). Something will have to give or many manufacturers will go out of business.
