Welcome lighting not workingSo I'll chime in and really mess up this discussion. I have a '24 aviator, and my "welcome lites" work fine if the car is parked in an open area like a parking lot.
But... my house is stilted, up about 12 feet, with a carport underneath to park cars. The welcome lites might work once in 20 times when approaching on foot. The welcome lites usually won't come on, but door locks will still unlock, and the rear door (suv) won't open unless you use the remote. I've played a lot of games like placing the remotes in faraday bags while in the house, then pulling one out down stairs. No joy.
I suspect there is a lot of rebar in the floor and ceiling concrete to shield/distort/detune the remote signals. I can deal with it, but it's weird.Wed, 13 Nov 2024 02:53:23 +0000
