2024 Super Duty Orders & Discussion

2024 Super Duty Orders & DiscussionPre-pandemic and under what were the usual market conditions, sales representatives were trained to sell from stock to realize short-term, immediate sales and commissions. X Plan or not, they didn't want to deal with retail factory orders. I looked at it differently as retail factory orders were like money in the bank. The customer would get the vehicle they wanted, built to their specifications with price protection, and the Dealer had no floorplan expenses as the vehicle would be delivered immediately upon arrival at the dealership. And I'd often see that those retail orders made a difference at times in meeting or exceeding the Ford sales objectives for the dealership.

Ford's "Plan" sales (A/X/Z/D) have always been voluntary regarding dealership participation, but the dealership gets paid a good commission on the transaction and the customer gets a great price plus any available incentives. The "Plan" sales also contribute to both Ford and dealership customer loyalty.Thu, 05 Oct 2023 17:08:44 +0000
