2012 Ford Escape lift gate hatch won’t open. It’ll open about a centimeter when I press the button and even when I stick my hand down there and actuate it by hand. All I need to do is open the trunk one time to replace the broken part. What should I do? I heard that I need to cut the pin that hook actually attaches on to. What do you think?
