Super excited to join this page. I recently acquired a 1969 Ford Fairlane 500 Convertible. The car has the original(supposedly) 302 and C4 trans. I got a 69(07ME-A) 390 and C6 trans with the trade. I want to swap motors and transmissions. I can turn a wrench, and fix most of my own stuff, but I'm far from a master mechanic. Has anyone done this swap recently? I know i will need different motor mounts etc... Do i need a different trans crossmember? Would also assume bigger...
