2016 Lincoln MKX AWD Disconnected message46,000 miles. Ptu is lifetime part. No mention of service in owners manual.
Just ran into 200 service bill. Can not duplicate customers concern and no errors found on dtc. Awd disconnected message came on but didn't log in computer.did they check ptu fluid? Nope. Ptu lifetime part. Doesn't mention in my owners manual.
Come home drain ptu. Black like burnt coffee. Smelled burnt. But still I'm stuck 200 service bill. Paid 40 in parts to change fluid myself. Bummer....
so your right it is toast. But I wish I knew they wouldn't look at and thus paid 200 for nothing.. I heard it takes 2 times for error message to come on then computer logs it in.
