2010 Expedition AC Quality

2010 Expedition AC QualitySorta like your problem, I had a 2010 F-150 and the A/C in it was pitiful. The system was capable of cooling off the cabin, but whenever the discharge temps got low, the compressor would kick off. I believe that the concern then was for fuel mileage. There were several inventive owners who discovered that the addition of a resistor (or an adjustable rheostat) in a wiring connector behind the dash tricked the compressor into running longer and achieved better cooling. My son did it to his 2011 F-150 Platinum and it made a huge difference, At the time he told me about it, I was only using my truck for very short trips, so I never added one to mine. I used to have a link to the forum thread, but deleted it when I sold my truck. If it's any help, it was on one of the Ford truck forums, but I don't remember which.Sat, 05 Sep 2020 14:43:13 +0000
