Just bought an 09 Fusion 4 cylinder. It has a cylinder head temp overheat code, but engine temp is ok. After doing research, I checked the sensor clip. I noticed it is coated in oil. Peering into the well it looks like I have standing oil in the well. Judging from the oil stains on the valve cover, previous owner poured oil without a funnel.
I am assuming that the well travels along my spark plugs. I have to clean the oil out before I can replace the sensor and pigtail and spark plugs...
