1961 Ford car 292 Y Block interchange

I've been offered a really nice 61 Ford sedan, AT, cheap but minus the original 292 Y Block motor. I know of a good 312 motor from a 1956 Ford truck. Do any of you guys know if this would fit the 1961 car? Replies greatly appreciated. TY.
