I’m new to mechanics but am eager to learn and do things myself. This is also my first post. I have a 289 in my 67 Fairlane (automatic) and I would like to get more horsepower with a larger engine. Questions. What size engine would still provide adequate room to work under the hood? If I increase the engine size do I also need to swap out my transmission and overall my rear differential?
