I have a 1997 E350 with a 7.3 motor.
I bought it with all kinds of aftermarket electrical issues. Stereos, inverters, lighting, House batteries, etc. Stripping out the wiring I have found 5 places the aftermarket wiring has caught fire. The stock harness is in good shape and not anywhere near all the aftermarket mess. I find it amazing it didn't burn to the ground. I am stripping it back to stock as it's had so many hands involved over the years I don't trust any of it....
