Long saga warning...
Roughly 5 months ago, I had a check engine light. The code was for the thermostat being stuck closed. I replaced the thermostat on my own with a Duralast thermostat from AutoZone. To bleed the air from the system I repeatedly ran the vehicle for 10 minute periods and let it cool down until the coolant levels steadied.
Fast forward to about a month ago, once the outside temps started rising with spring...I got an overheat warning after driving for about 30 minutes....
