Ford showed off EV sedans, crossovers and trucksI test drove one a very long time ago (under 4 gallons) that a family member owned, though you're right no new car in US comes close to 5 gallons presently. With many cars getting over 50 MPG, a 5-gallon tank would yield greater range than some old cars. My first Mustang with a V8 did not come close to 250 miles of range.
