Ford Dealers vs Auto sales consultant.

Ford Dealers vs Auto sales consultant.I would like some feed back on this issue please.

I have purchased 9 new cars so far. Most of those experiences were not great.

Salespeople seem to say whatever they want to make a sale and never hold themselves accountable.

I did buy a new 97' F350 CCLB power stroke in Jan of 98' from the Ford Dear in Glenwood Springs.

That salesman was an older fella and was honest and true. He was great. I told him that had my ford business forever.

Unfortunately he is no longer with us. I liked him and cant say enough positive about that purchase with him.

When I drove off with that truck I felt great about the purchase and the sales person. Very positive experience.

That is the only time that has happened. (Although we did get a new Ram 2500 Cummins when Dodge was having a bad day in

2009 and that was a score at $28k but thats another story.)

So this time I did not want to spend the money to buy a truck and not feel great about it because of the dealership /sales person thing.

Not saying they are all bad, just that my personal experience ratio was 8 bad experiences and one good one. Not the vehicle, but because of the buying experience.

I decided to try something different. I used my local AAA Auto Broker to order this 2021 E350. So far it has been good.

AAA has always been very good to me and as such I have developed trust in them.

Below sticker price and she always returns my call.

There are a couple of issues that have caused some concern.

The first order I placed was confirmed on the DORA sheet.

That order somehow "went missing" from the system. How does a confirmed order jut disappear ?

I have been told that for that to happen it was deleted by someone a the dealership the AAA broker was working with on my order. Who knows ?

We did place an identical 2nd order. That one is in process, but was placed 5 weeks after the original order.

So, my question is this.

Do you think the there is resentment from the dealers and sales people towards Auto Brokers in general ? AAA in this case ?

She seems to sell a lot of cars. Probably more than most sales people.

She seems to struggle to get accurate information back on the order status. Some f that is prolly the system its self.

That being said, I am the one that found out the first order was "missing". Not her.

I am also the one that got the vin first, on the same day that she told me she had not yet received it. Why could I then make a call and get it ?

Just trying to get an understanding of what the industry folks thinks about and towards independent auto brokers ?

Also wondering if my pre-buy inspection a the dealer will take longer because its through a broker and not that dealer ? Will they punish her/me ?

I will say that I like her and she seems to know her stuff. I just wonder if she is battling outside strife from the dealer system.

I am honestly curious bout how the industry views Auto Brokers in general and also specifically AAA.

Please be honest, I would love to hear it. This wont be my last new vehicle.
