1988 F350 Intermittent Loss of spark

Trying to trouble shoot my truck dying problem before I sell it. Been happening since I bought it used and started to get worse recently and then just went away. I'm told the TFI (Thick Film Integrated Ignition) is often the source of this problem on older trucks/cars. Soo, I figured it would be good to just bite the bullet and replace the distributor Assy and the ICM (ignition control module). I was warned about using rebuilt or aftermarket parts but I cannot seem to find a good place...
