RIP Joe Macura - Father of the 427I'm a little late on this. Joe Macura, the "Father of the 427," passed away in late March. The 427 of course, was the engine that powered the winning cars at Lemans and went on to dominate Nascar and NHRA in the mid-60's. This article is really worth the read.
